Naked kidnapping suspects to appear in court Thursday

Three people are to appear Thursday in an Alberta courtroom charged in a bizarre case involving an alleged abduction and a car full of naked suspects.

A 27-year-old man and two women who are 35 and 30, are to appear in court in Leduc, on charges of kidnapping and resisting arrest.

Two teenaged girls have been released without charges.

R-C-M-P said a man, woman and baby were forced against their will from a home in Leduc County and into a B-M-W on Monday morning.

While the car was being driven, the man, who was in the trunk, managed to escape.

The woman and her baby then got away.

The three were next picked up by a man driving by in his work truck, and the truck was then rammed from behind by the car.

Police pulled five naked suspects from the car.

Derek Scott with Leduc Plumbing and Heating said it was his employee who rescued the victims.

He said it was a crazy scene and, because the victims were not injured, one just has to laugh at the situation.
