Central AB Mounties seek ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect

Mounties in central Alberta are looking for a man who was able to evade arrest earlier this week following a collision and confrontation with another motorist.

On Monday, November 6, Blackfalds RCMP responded to a collision between a SUV and pick up truck.

Police allege the driver of the SUV overpowered the other driver and fled the scene in the pickup truck

The truck was later discovered at an oilfield lease site. The suspect then managed to flee the property on a snowmobile.

RCMP have charged 38-year-old Michael Richter with numerous offences, including robbery, unauthorized possession of a firearm and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

Richter is described as Caucasian, 5’10” tall, 150 pounds, bald with some facial hair, hazel eyes and a small scar on the left side of his chin.

Police consider Richter to be armed and dangerous.
