More than 30 firefighters continue to battle an out of control grass fire near Claresholm that has forced dozens of people from their homes.
The fire has now increased to over 15-hundred hectares, according to Alberta wildfire.
Residents along Chimney Rock Road were allowed home briefly on Thursday to check on livestock and assess property damage, but were then asked to leave again.
Highway 22 is now open in the area, but officials say it can be dangerous to drive at times because of all the smoke.
