One dead after another officer-involved shooting in Alberta

One person is dead following an officer-involved shooting in east of Red Deer, the second fatal shooting involving Alberta Mounties on Thursday.
RCMP said the incident occurred at 9:15 a.m. on Range Road 234, near Highway 11.
According to investigators, Mounties approached a parked stolen vehicle when a confrontation took place.
An unidentified male was air lifted to hospital in critical condition, but later died.
None of the officers involved were injured.
Earlier in the day, RCMP in Gleichen shot and killed a man during an early morning traffic stop.
Both incidents are being investigated by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team.
