Shots fired in Falconridge, injuring two

For the second time in as many days, police are investigating a shooting in Calgary.

At about 4 a.m. Sunday, a man and a woman were shot in the northeast community of Falconridge.

The man was critically wounded, the woman is listed in stable condition. Both were taken to Foothills Hospital.

“Preliminary indications are at this timea targeted and not a random attack, however that can not be confirmed until the investigation comes to a culmination,” said Staff Sgt. Asif Rashid.

“I’m definitely scared because you know, I have a bunch of kids here and it was right in front of the house. You know, I’m concerned for their safety now,” said Brett Doore.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed anything in the area of Falconridge Drive and Falconridge Crescent N.E. to give them a call or report the tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

Meanwhile, the CPS Homicide Unit continues to probe an early morning shooting Saturday in the northwest community of Montgomery. A a man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.
