Gas station attendant killed in gas and dash in Thorsby

RCMP near Edmonton are searching for a van and driver involved in a deadly gas and dash.

It happened around 3:45 Friday afternoon in Thorsby, about 70 kilometres southwest of Edmonton.

Sergeant John Spaans tells 660 NEWS, a 54-year-old man who works at the Fas Gas in Thorsby died on scene.

“As the cube van was driving away, an employee of that gas station attempted to either get the attention of the driver or stop the vehicle, and in doing so was struck by the vehicle as it fled the scene,” said Spaans.

Mounties are looking for a medium-sized, white cube van with blue writing on the side.
