11 year police vet recovering after Edmonton attack

Edmonton Police Service has released the identity of the officer that was attack in Saturday’s terror incident.
48-year-old Cst. Mike Chernyk was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds to his head and arms. He was released Sunday afternoon and has since been at home recovering.
EPS says although his injuries are substantial, he is in good spirits.
Edmonton’s Police Chief is acknowledging Chernyk’s actions saying, he was able to fight off a knife attack with one hand while holding his gun with the other.
As for the other four victims in the attack, two have been released from hospital and two remain in medical care under observation, but they are not in critical condition.
