Mounties investigate assault in Chestermere

Chestermere RCMP are asking the public for help locating two suspects who assaulted a man with a weapon.
Officers were called around 6:30 p.m., Thursday to a grocery store parking lot after an altercation took place between a man and two suspects.
At one point, a gun was pulled out but wasn’t fired.
A nearby witness came to the aid of the victim and the suspects fled.
Officers found a handgun in the area.
The victim sustained minor injuries, and RCMP do not believe it was a random incident.
