Trending: #Irma, Bank of Canada, Federer

Calgarians, along with the rest of the world, continue to watch Hurricane Irma make its way towards the United States.

#Irma and Caribbean were both trending, Thursday morning, in Calgary.

The devastating hurricane had already left some cities almost completely destroyed, and shows few signs of slowing down, en route toward Florida.

The Bank of Canada’s decision to raise interest rates to one per cent has also drawn a lot of attention, online. The surprising move pushed the dollar to a two year high.

Calgarians were tuned in to tennis Wednesday night and still talking about it Thursday morning.

Roger Federer was upset in the Quarter-finals at the U.S. Open. After the match, Federer admitted his opponent, Juan Martin Del Potro, had a better chance of beating Rafael Nadal.
