A program aimed at keeping high school students from dropping out is receiving a huge boost Wednesday morning.
The Joyce Family Foundation is giving a multi-million dollar gift to SAIT’s School of Hospitality and Tourism.
The money will be used to give at-risk students a chance to enrol in the school’s ‘Summer Cook- An Introduction to Cook Apprentice Program.’
The program aligns with the United Way of Calgary’s ‘All In for Youth Initiative.’
The donation will also be used to create bursaries for students who demonstrate financial hardship.
