Athletes nurture ‘all-stars of tomorrow’ at COP

August is an important month for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

As part of a goal to raise $200,000 for the mentoring program, the first ever All Stars for Kids Day hosted by Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell was held Tuesday at WinSport.

A number of world class athletes joined Mitchell for the fun at Canada Olympic Park.

“Kids of today are the all stars of tomorrow, so let’s make sure that we nurture these guys. They’re going through life changing aspects of their life that they shouldn’t have to face alone. That’s the biggest thing we want to let them know that not only are we there for them but so are their mentors and so is the entire community,” Mitchell said.
