Calgary Police charge man with attempted murder following Canada Day assault

A man is facing attempted murder charges after a serious assault on Canada Day.
Calgary Police Service was called to the 800 block of McNeill Road N.E. at around 5:40 p.m. Saturday.
A man in his 30s was found in life-threatening condition, he was taken to hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Ian Lawrence Saddleback, 35, is charged with attempted murder and breach of probation.
Investigators say the victim and Saddleback are related to each other.
Saddleback will appear in court on Tuesday.
