The home of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra is getting some big upgrades this summer.
Arts Commons will be replacing more than two-thousand seats in the Jack Singer Concert Hall with new ones that have a silent closing mechanism and cup holders.
The new seats will also be acoustically balanced and tested.
Other improvements include flooring and the installation of new LED lights, that change colour.
The work begins on July 2, 2017. The Jack Singer Concert Hall is expected to reopen at the end of August.
