One man has been charged in the case of a vicious downtown attack, Saturday night.
Jason McKenzie, 29, is charged with one count of aggravated assault in connection to the first of three apparent assaults over a four day period in mid-June.
In the Saturday, June 17, 2017 incident, a man was hit in the back of the head with a heavy object on 8 Street S.W. He was transported to hospital in life threatening condition, but upgraded to stable a few days later.
Police continue to investigate two separate, but similar unprovoked attacks outside the Safeway on 11 Street S.W., and somewhere near the intersection of 8 Avenue and 9 Street S.W.
Investigators say they are not looking for any other suspects. One man was caught video, via a surveillance camera, at the site of one of the attacks.
McKenzie will make a court appearance, Thursday.
