One dead and three others in hospital after a collision near Beiseker

RCMP say that bad weather may have been a factor in a crash that’s left a 16 year old dead and three others in hospital.

Three people were in a vehicle driving southbound on highway 21 near Beiseker when they collided with a lone driver heading northbound.

The young girl was pronounced dead on scene while a 67 year old women was flown by STARS ambulance to Calgary hospital with critical potentially life threatening condition.

The third occupant of the vehicle, a 43 year old women, was transported by ground ambulance to Calgary hospital in serious but non life threatening condition.

The lone 58 year old driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to three hills hospital in non life threatening condition.

Mounties say that heavy hail and rain was occurring at the time of the accident.
