A serious crash closed an intersection in Calgary’s northeast on Saturday, while a man was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.
First responders were called at about 1 p.m. about a crash on 52 Street Madigan Drive N.E.
“Our crews have assessed one patient top be in serious, critical life-threatening condition and we have transported him to Foothill hospital,” said EMS spokesperson Nate Pike.
Drivers told 660 NEWS says it looks like a Honda pickup truck was involved and it was seriously smashed up on the passenger and driver’s side.
Paramedics say a man in his mid-60s was rushed to hospital, and no one else was hurt. En route he was upgraded to serious, potentially life-threatening condition.
Calgary police are investigating the incident and officers are diverting traffic away from the area.
