Calgary police looking for N.W. robbery suspect

City police are asking the public’s help finding a man believed to be responsible for a violent robbery that happened earlier this week.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on May 24, a man entered the Ranchlands Pharmacy along Ranchview Dr. N.W. Once inside, he grabbed a customer and held a knife to her throat while demanding money from the pharmacist.

The pharmacist attempted to assist the customer, at which point the man grabbed money from the cash register before fleeing on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black man. He was wearing a black hat, a black jacket with a white emblem at the peak of the hood, a black face covering, light grey sweatpants, and black Converse shoes with white soles.
