Overnight closures on Deerfoot for spring cleaning

If you travel Deerfoot Trail, be aware of evening and overnight road closures that may affect your drive.
Carmacks will be closing northbound sections of the major thoroughfare Tuesday and Wednesday to remove gravel and debris left over from winter.
Tuesday from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. in the SE, the cleaning will close Deerfoot Trail between Southland Drive and the Barlow/Peigan Trail overpass. Drivers will be detoured along Blackfoot Trail, while there will also be detours in Heritage Meadows and on Glenmore Trail.
Wednesday night, northbound Deerfoot is slated to be closed between Southland Drive and Blackfoot Trail / 17 Ave. There will be detours at Heritage Meadows and Glenmore, along the ramps connecting to Deerfoot.
Southbound Deerfoot was cleaned last week.
