Strathcona County Mounties need public’s help in hit and run

Strathcona County RCMP are asking for the public’ s assistance in a hit and run.
On Sunday afternoon at around 2:52 p.m. Mounties responded to a report of a gas and dash at the Superstore Gas Bar on Baseline Road in Sherwood Park.
Reports say a man was leaving without paying for gas, when an employee at the gas station tried to stop the suspect from leaving, and was run over.
The vehicle is believed to be a 2000-2008 silver four door Dodge Ram, with black tints and extended tow mirrors.
The suspect was last seen heading westbound on Baseline Road in the direction of Sherwood Drive.
He is believed to be a Caucasian man in his 30’s .
The victim was transported to hospital by ground ambulance with serious injuries.
