Girl followed home in northwest Calgary

Calgary police are looking for a man who followed a girl home in the northwest community of Thorncliffe.

One Wednesday at around 5:30 p.m., the 12-year-old was leaving the Thornhill Aquatic & Recreation Centre when she noticed a man following her as she walked through a field beside the centre.

When she arrived home near the intersection of Centre Street and Tache Avenue N.W., she told an adult in the house that she was being followed.

The adult went outside and confronted the man, at which point he fled.

The man is described as Caucasian, in his early 20s, 5’8 tall, with a brown hoodie, blue jeans, black baseball cap, white running shoes and scratches on the left side of his face.
