Calgary’s police chief talks fentanyl crisis

Police Chief Roger Chaffin will talk Wednesday about the addiction crisis in Calgary and how that impacts crime rates and public safety.

Fentanyl abuse has been rampant in the city, leading to over 25 deaths so far this year and more than 150 in 2016.

In a speech at Bow Valley College, Chaffin will also outline his crime reduction strategies.

The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the college’s north campus.
