Calgary Flames aiming for 10 straight wins

The Calgary Flames are chasing 10 victories in a row, but it will be a daunting task when the team hosts a Pittsburgh Penguins squad that’s won five consecutive games.

The Flames are currently riding the longest win streak in the team’s history since moving to Calgary. However, according to head coach Glen Gulutzan, the dressing room is only focusing on the bigger picture, which is making the post-season.

“We don’t talk about it at all,” Gulutzan said. “We all know it’s there. I know the guys will talk to the media about it a little bit and so will I, but internally, we’re focused on game-to-game and to get ourselves solidified in a playoff spot.”

Heading into action versus Pittsburgh, the Flames are third in the Pacific Division with 80 points.

Monday’s meeting is the second and final regular season tilt between the Flames and Penguins. Calgary beat Pittsburgh 3-2 in a shootout when the teams met in February.
