Tigers edge Hitmen

The Medicine Hat Tigers beat the Calgary Hitmen on Friday night by a score of 5 – 4.

Steven Owre had two goals and an assist to help the top team in the Central Division of the Western Hockey League to the victory.

Jakob Stukel and Andrei Grishakov both scored twice for the Hitmen in the loss.

Jake Bean added an assist for his 100th career helper in the WHL.

It was the first loss for the Hitmen in six games.

The Hitmen, 23-27-8-2, travel to Red Deer to play the Rebels on Saturday, before entertaining them in the back-end of a home and home on Sunday at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
