The United States Homeland Security Department says it’s no
longer telling airlines to stop visa-holders from boarding U-S-bound
planes after a federal judge put President Donald Trump’s
travel ban on hold.
Trump’s executive order had barred refugees and people from seven
predominantly Muslim countries from entering the U-S.
As the White House promises a quick appeal, Trump has taken to
Twitter to vent his frustration.
Spokesman Sean Spicer issued a statement Friday night, saying the government
will defend the controversial executive order.
On Saturday evening, The Justice Department filed an appeal to reinstate the ban, and there is a good chance this could make it all the way up to the Supreme Court.
