Calgarians can help kids in need play lacrosse or hockey.
The Calgary Roughnecks are hosting an equipment drive this weekend in support of Roughnecks Evenstrength, an initiative partnering with KidSport Calgary and Comrie’s Sport Equipment Bank.
The goal is to ensure families with financial hardship are still able to sign up their children for minor lacrosse.
Gently used lacrosse and hockey equipment can be dropped off Saturday at the Scotiabank Saddledome when the Roughnecks take on defending champions, the Saskatchewan Rush.
