ALERT seizes $75K worth of drugs in fentanyl trafficking bust

A stolen car investigation in Calgary has turned into one of the biggest fentanyl busts police have ever seen.

Last week, the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team received a tip that a Calgary man was using a stolen vehicle for a drug trafficking operation.

Two homes in Riverbend and Mountview were searched, leading to the discovery of $75,000 worth of fentanyl, cocaine, heroin and other drugs.

Police also seized $100,000 in crime proceeds, as well a 2016 BMW reported stolen in July 2016.

Leslie Ma, 25, and Anny Vo, 24 are facing a total of 22 criminal charges.
