Police search Kensington after reports of gunshots

It was a startling evening for residents of Kensington Wednesday.

Calgary police say they responded to reports of gunshots being fired in the 300 block of 10 Street N.W.

Cody, who lives in the neighbourhood, says all of his neighbours heard the gunshots.

“A bunch of people on the e-mail thread told us not to come home. There were a few gunshots – four gunshots – so, I was out and now all the cops are here so I am a little more concerned, I guess,” said Cody.

Police say no one was injured and the canine unit is assisting with the investigation.

There was a report of a man running away from the scene.
