A pair of armed robberies at a local schoolyard has police concerned and they’re turning to the public for help in Strathmore.
The first happened around 10 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2016. Mounties were called to the scene after a man was approached by two unknown men.
A can of bear spray was produced and the victim was told to turn over his money before the thieves fled the scene.
A few weeks later, around 1:30 in the morning on Jan. 15, 2017, a teenage boy was approached at the same location by two men.
One of the men produced a knife, while the second had a can of bear spray; the victim was ordered to hand over his money and that’s when he was sprayed.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact Strathmore RCMP at 403-943-3968.
