Small plane crash lands near Fort McMurray aiport

The Transportation Safety Board is investigating after a small plane was forced to land just before Fort McMurray International Airport Tuesday night.

T-S-B investigator Fred Burow says the Cessna Caravan went down just over a kilometre from the airport.

“The aircraft had been on on a flight from Camrose to Fort McMurray and reported some caution lights relating to a fuel system,” he said. “It was trying to land on runway 25 and didn’t make the airport.”

Four people were on board but noone was hurt.

There is significant damage to the plane.
