New campaign to launch targeting poverty in Calgary

It’s a big goal: to reduce poverty rates in Calgary by 50 per cent in seven years.
Vibrant Communities Calgary is launching a new campaign Tuesday, together with Mayor Naheed Nenshi, the city, United Way, the Calgary Foundation, and Momentum.
Currently, one in ten people in our city live below the poverty line.
A news conference is being held at 10 a.m. at the DJD Dance Centre on 12 Avenue SE.
