Air Canada responds to concerns about flight from Calgary

Air Canada is responding to concerns from a Regina woman whose flight from Calgary was delayed after a note with the word “bomb” was apparently found on the plane.

Kate Heisler didn’t think there was enough communication from the airline about what was happening, and described a chaotic scene trying to rebook flights.

In a statement to 660 NEWS, the company says the flight was being operated by Jazz and “safety and security processes for aircraft and flights exists on multiple robust levels.”

It goes on to say “announcements would be made to keep customers apprised of any actions taken as soon as the crew are able to do so, with our over-riding objective always to ensure everyone’s safety.”

Air Canada adds it will be reaching out to the passenger to address her concerns.
