Health Canada begins recall of Samsung Galaxy Note 7

It’s been talked about for several days and now Health Canada is finally instituting a recall for certain Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones.

More than 21,000 of the affected models were sold and it would have been sometime between August 19 and September 1 of this year.

It has to do with the potential for them to overheat and burn, in the United States there have been more than 70 instances of them phone catching fire.

“It’s posing a potential fire hazard, Health Canada and Samsung Canada have received one report of a phone battery overheating but no injuries have been reported so far,” said spokesperson Andre Gagnon. “Consumers should power down immediately the recalled Samsung Galaxy Note 7 cell phone and register as soon as possible for the Canadian Product Exchange.”
