A bystander helped pull a man from his vehicle, after he crashed into the ditch off of Highway 1.
At about 7 a.m. Saturday, paramedics in Cochrane were called to the highway west of Calgary, near the weight scales by Hermitage Rd.
EMS Spokesperson Stuart Brideaux says a man lost control of his vehicle and spun into the ditch.
“Paramedics determined a lone occupant driver, a male in his mid-20s, had sustained chest injuries as a result of the collision. He had been helped out of the vehicle by a bystander, so fortunately there [were] no barriers to accessing him,” says Brideaux
EMS transferred the man to Foothills Hospital in stable condition, with non-life threatening injuries. RCMP cleared the scene of all debris and officers are investigating the crash.
