Police looking to public for help in finding suspect in bank robbery

Calgary Police are looking to the public for helping in finding the man responsible for a bank robbery in the northeast.

It happened in around 1:30 Friday afternoon at the BMO in the 2500 block of 32nd Street N.E.

A suspect approached the teller and starting to engage in her conversation and then proceeded to hand over a note.

It read that he was armed and that the teller was being robbed.

No one was physically hurt and there was no property damage.

It’s unclear as to how much money was stolen.

The suspect is described as a white male, 28 years old, 5’10” to 6′ tall, with an average build and dark blonde hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball hat backwards with a black hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or CrimeStoppers.
