Buying liquor within city limits has now just gotten easier after the launch of a new app and delivery system.
Drizly is now selling the service to legal-age consumers within the Greater Calgary area during certain hours.
Regional Manager Matthew Erley says they work with Liquor Depot so when a customer goes onto their app, they’ll see the same inventory and prices.
“And then the store, they have drivers who work those stores and they’re delivering to the customer, checking ID’s. We have a driver check the scanner to make sure the consumer is over 18 and then the order is fulfilled to that customer.
Erley says they are expecting demand will increase in the coming months.
The launch covers roughly 70 per cent of the city.
