Heritage Day long weekend packed with local activities

At last, the August long weekend is here.

Many will be heading out of town, but those staying here certainly shouldn’t feel left out.

There is a long list of activities going on in the city.

The Calgary International Blues Festival continues through Sunday and Fringe Fest is still on as well.

Hamlet is playing at Shakespeare by the Bow and Comedy Night at Broken City is sure to tickle your rib Monday night.

Those looking for fun for the whole family can check out Heritage Day at the aptly named Heritage Park or head to Fort Calgary.

For families on a budget, there will be a Heritage Day Festival at Olympic Park on Monday which is completely free.

The Strathmore Stampede starts Friday as well.
