Beltline voted best neighbourhood in Calgary

Avenue Magazine has released it’s annual list of Calgary’s best neighbourhoods for 2016.
And the honour of Calgary’s best neighbourhood goes to…the Beltline!
The Executive Director of Avenue Magazine Jennifer Hamilton says even though the Beltline has a reputation as a high crime area, it has a lot of good things going for it which pushed it to top spot.
“It’s got restauarants, cafes, bars, it’s got entertainment. It’s close to downtown, it’s got great access to buses and the LRT. It’s got drug stores, shopping, it’s got a high walk score and it’s close to the river. When you put it all together, you get the Beltline.”
Number two on the list is Brentwood, with Dalhousie rounding out the top three.
