Pokémon GO Game leads teens to illegally cross border into Montana

In the pursuit to “catch ’em all” two teens were apprehended by border officials in Montana.

U.S. Border Patrol agents saw the two walking south from Canada into the U.S. on Thursday night.

“Both juveniles were so captivated by their Pokémon GO games that they lost track of where they were. They crossed the international border inadvertently, but agents were able to reunite them with their mother,” said public affairs officer Michael Rappold.

The game officially launched in Canada last weekend. It sends players into the real world to search for the mythical digital pocket monsters known as Pokémon, which appear onscreen when users hold up their smartphones in various locations at various times of the day.
