Fundraiser reduced to one day due to money troubles

A big fundraiser has been cut short because of the economy.

Once a three day country music event featuring five country music artists, it’s now just one day.

The Stampede Party with a Purpose Tuesday features George Canyon, Jordan McIntosh, Dan Davidson, Matt Blais, and Aaron Pollock.

Sharon deBoer Fyie with the Calgary Homeless Foundation says it’s a challenging time in the city right now and the fundraiser is an incredible example of organizations and artists working together for a greater good.

The Stampede Party with a Purpose goes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Civic on Third.
