Man sent to hospital after falling from skyscraper construction site

Work was put on hold on a Calgary skyscraper when a one person fell and had to be taken to hospital.

At around 11 a.m. on Saturday, paramedics and fire crews were seen arriving at the site of the 707 Fifth building at 5th St. and 7th Ave. S.W.

EMS spokesperson Adam Loria says a worker had some type of fall, but only from about a three metre drop.

“He was transported to the Foothills Medical Centre with various soft-tissue injuries, possible internal injuries, but considered stable and non-life-threatening,” he said.

Work has since resumed at the construction site.
