Tragically Hip to play Calgary in final tour

The Tragically Hip will make a stop in Calgary, as part of their 10 city farewell tour.

The Canadian rockers will play the Scotiabank Saddledome August 1.

The band released the schedule Wednesday morning, a day after frontman Gord Downie revealed he has terminal brain cancer.

Other stops include: Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, London, Hamilton, Ottawa, and two shows in Toronto.

The tour will then wrap up in Kingston, where the Hip formed in the 1980s.

Tickets for the stop in Cowtown will go on sale Friday, June 3 at 10 a.m.
