During opening remarks he thanked teachers for their hard work welcoming so many students and says he’s confident Wood Buffalo area schools will be up and running in September.

“These schools are the pivot points of the community and will help to start to create that sense of hope for the future, which is key to Fort McMurray’s success,” said Eggen.

This is the 99th year for the annual meeting which will continue through the long weekend at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
