Hike for Hospice Calgary closing in on $100k goal

This Sunday, you can walk alongside some Calgary Stampeders while raising money for a great cause.

Hike for Hospice Calgary is set to support the city’s Sage Centre and Rosedale Hospice, which provides support for grieving families and end-of-life care.

Sarah Walker, the organization’s executive director, said they are inching toward their goal of $100,000.

“So far, we have pledges of $70,000 and we’re getting close,” she explained to 660 NEWS. “We’re hoping to close that gap over the next couple of days. The people of Calgary are so gracious and so generous. For us, it makes all of the difference in the world to be together on Sunday.”

Rob Cote of the Stampeders is taking part in his 9th installment of the event and he’ll be joined by John Hufnagel, Tim St. Pierre, Charlie Power and Brandon Boudreaux.
