First sexually transmitted case of Zika in Canada confirmed in Ontario

Health officials have confirmed the first positive case of Zika virus transmitted sexually in Canada.
The case was discovered in Ontario and it’s suspected the person contracted the virus from a sexual partner who was diagnosed after travelling to an affected country.
There have been no confirmed cases of locally-acquired Zika virus through mosquitoes, and the overall risk in Canada remains very low.
