It appears Calgarians are split on the proposed new home for the Flames and Stampeders.
A new poll by Mainstreet Research, commissioned by the Calgary Leadership Forum, shows a statistical tie among those who support and don’t support CalgaryNEXT.
When asked who should pay for it, nearly half said team owners should pony up the dough, while on-third said it should be a combination of ownership and government.
The poll also found strong support for the job Naheed Nenshi is doing as mayor at 62 per cent.
As well, two-thirds of participants have a pessimistic view of the economy over the next 12 months.
