Warm weather in store for Calgary

Here we go again, Calgary.

City Meteorologist Andrew Schultz says a warm spell is blowing through the city that is bringing way above average temperatures.

“Classic chinook set-up there. We’re going to find these temperatures much warmer than average. We should be dancing around that minus one mark, double digits, and we’re not going to look back over the next handful of days. So, you get the chinook flow, mild air, and a warm west breeze, about 20, maybe gusting to 30 kilometres an hour,” he said.

Schultz is calling for a high of 12 degrees Monday, with things heating up to 16 degrees Celsius Tuesday.

He says the city should be above average temperatures for the next seven days at least.
