Woman charged after meth seizure

A Calgary woman has been charged following the largest methamphetamine seizure in southern Alberta in five years.

Canadian Border Service officials said they found a total of 14.5 kg of meth at the Del Bonita border crossing, hidden inside the rocker panels of a sport utility vehicle.

They said they noticed inconsistencies with the panels of the vehicle, and after dismantling them, found 14 packages of the drug.

The driver was arrested by RCMP, and the drugs were confiscated.

Mounties have charged 40-year-old Season Truax with importation, possession for the purpose of trafficking and smuggling.
