AHS issues public alert of potential measles exposures

Alberta Health Services officials have issued a public alert after an individual with a confirmed case of measles visited the city while infected.
In the middle of January, a person with the illness made several stops in the city, prompting AHS to put out the warning.
The person was in Calgary from January 15th-18th, and anyone who was at one of the following locations during the times specified could have been exposed to the disease.
January 15th – January 18th:
Waterfront Condos
222 Riverfront Avenue S.W., Calgary
12 a.m., January 15th – 10 a.m., January 18th
January 15th:
Forbidden City Dim Sum & Seafood
999 36 St N.E., Calgary
6 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
January 18th:
Calgary International Airport
10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
WestJet Flight WS287
Calgary to Vancouver
Flight duration (departed Calgary at 11:35 a.m.)
Anyone who may have been at any of the following locations during the times specified should monitor symptoms, which include fever, cough, runny nose, and a red blotchy rash that can appear a few days after a fever.
AHS is asking anyone who experiences these symptoms to contact Health Link at 8-1-1 instead of heading to health clinics or hospitals.
