It’s a special tribute to one of Canada’s best known authors.
Monday’s Google doodle is in honour of Lucy Maud Montgomery, who would have turned 141.
Montgomery started penning Anne of Green Gables in the early 1900s, about a little red headed girl who lived on Prince Edward Island.
The book series shot to international fame in 1908 and was eventually translated into about 20 different languages, and turned into a TV mini-series.
Montgomery died in 1942 at the age of 68, but not before being the first Canadian named as a member of the British Royal Society of Arts and an officer of the Order of the British Empire.
