November: National Music Centre construction update

The ongoing warm weather is keeping the construction of the new National Music Centre on schedule and 80 per cent complete!
Outside cladding is still being installed and the inside is filled with scaffolding as work towards a ”soft opening” for next year’s Junos continues.
President and CEO Andrew Mosker tells 660 NEWS, Calgarians will be able to enjoy an entirely new platform to plan very innovative music programs, in a space like no other in Canada.
“With recording spaces, with our historic collections, our exhibition spaces, to do installations and tell stories about music in Canada; our live music venues where people can hear music that they know and love, as well as new music from across the musical spectrum,” he said.
The National Music Centre is located on 9th Avenue and 4th Street, S.E. and is set to open in spring 2016.
